Hiriyur Dam

We went to Hiriyur (place around 150 km from Bangalore) to attend one of my friend's marriage. First time attended a Muslim marriage. The marriage was organised in a mosque, and before the marriage there was preaching session. It was very different experience, never entered a mosque before. We also joined the preaching session for some time. It was basically simple urdu so we were able to understand that. After the preaching session ended, the procedure for the marriage started, and it took around 10 minutes to be done with the marriage formalities, so it was pretty fast.

As we had plenty of spare time, we went to the Hiriyur Dam nearby. I didn't know that Hiriyur is the oldest Dam of karnatka. Check out my flickr link for more updates about the place.

HOW TO STAY
YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age,
weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is
why you pay 'them'

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you
down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts,
gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind
is the devil's workshop.'

4. Enjoy the "simple" things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.
Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's
family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Your home is your refuge..

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is
unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve,
get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even
to the next county; to a foreign country but NOTto where
the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every
opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.

It was the first time I was going abroad, a one month business visit to Oracle Head Quarters at San Francisco. It was altogether a very different experience visiting new places and meeting new people.

while going and while coming
SFO -> Hong Kong -> Singapore -> Bangalore
So witnessed some of  the best Air Ports in the world.
The onward journey.

We Started from Bangalore Airport, If you think its big wait for some time.

Our flight to Singapore.

Here comes the Singapore Airport, It was huge.

Nice sky trains inside Singapore Airport to connect different terminals.

good greenery inside Airport.

In such big Airports you definitely need these.

Now Seoul Airport, Some places here were pretty authentic.

This restaurant inside Seoul Airport was beautiful.

Seoul Airport was also huge.

It was chilled outside. We never got a chance to go out of the Airport building though. Can you see the layer of ice on the runway ?
